Welcome
Hello, my name is Jodie Santos, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist, PhD Candidate, and a specialist in Autism and ADHD Spectrum disorders. I am based in Ontario, offering both in-person counselling services in Milton and virtual therapy sessions from the comfort of your own home. My approach is client-centered, empathetic, and grounded in evidence-based practices, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with.
In addition to traditional therapy, I also offer Walk and Talk therapy during the warmer months of Summer and Fall—an approach that allows for a more dynamic and refreshing way to engage in our work together while connecting with nature.
I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals and families navigating the complexities of mental health, particularly those with Autism, ADHD, and related conditions. As a mother of four, a wife, and a dedicated community advocate, I understand the importance of personalized, compassionate care. I also offer a range of community services, including in-home therapy, to make mental health support more accessible and practical for those who need it.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and our large, loving fur dog. I also cherish quiet moments with a good book and a warm cup of tea. Counselling is not just my career—it's my calling and purpose in life. I am excited to offer you a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore, grow, and thrive. I look forward to connecting with you and walking alongside you on your journey toward well-being.
My Story
I received a Bachelors in Psychology with honors from Florida International University and a Masters in Counselling from Yorkville University. I believe that my purpose in life is to guide and help individuals to navigate different life circumstances that can impact how they are able to function on a daily basis. I have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and presently hold a license as a Registered Psychotherapist. I have a holistic approach that involves finding the unique style of therapy that is appropriate for each individual.
I have recently moved from Calgary to Milton. I am a mother to three children, and one (big) fur dog, a wife, a daughter and a friend. I enjoy taking long walks with my family and enjoying a cup of tea with a good book. I look forward to this new Journey.
